CEng (Chartered Engineer)
Â
To achieve Chartered Engineer status the following professionally accredited degrees are required:-
Â
MEng (Master of Engineering) - Four-year programme providing all the formal educational requirements in order to apply for CEng registration;
BEng (Bachelor of Engineering) - A three-year programme which provides partial fulfillment of the educational requirements for CEng registration.
A programme of accrediteed Further Learning will then be required in order to achieve the equivalent MEng level.
MSc (Master of Science) - Accredited programme of Further Learning for CEng registration.

IEng (Incorporated Engineer)

To achieve Incorporated Engineer status the following professionally accredited degrees are required:-

BSc (Bachelor of Science) - This meets the educational requirements for IEng statusMEng and BEng that are accredited for CEng also satisfy the educational requirements for IEng

An accredited Bachelors degree with honours in engineering or technology, plus either an appropriate Masters degree accredited by a professional engineering institution, or appropriate further learning to Masters level;
An accredited integrated MEng degree.
